Shandong BesTrans Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (‘BesTrans’) was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Jinan. The company has branches or offices in Beijing and Dezhou and has KTrans campus training bases in Qufu, Rizhao, and Liaocheng. As a technological innovation-powered language service provider, BesTrans has extended its business scope to the whole language industry chain, including translation technology development, international conference planning and services, international language service, international communication service, cross-language big data, talent training together with colleges and universities, and construction of smart interpretation and translation labs in colleges and universities. By now, BesTrans holds 34 patents and software copyrights. BesTrans was recognized as a "National High-tech Enterprise" and was included in the List of Scientific and Technologic SMEs and Micro Enterprises in Shandong Province in 2019, and was rated a Key Big Data Enterprise of Shandong Province and Industry-University Integration Demonstration Unit (Base) of Shandong Province in 2021. Now, BesTrans is an institutional member of Translators Association of China, a member of Translation Service Committee of the Translators Association of China, and a member of the Shandong Association of Staff and Workers Education and Vocational Training. President Jiang Xinbo serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of Translators Association of Shandong Province.
KTrans is independently developed by the company for aiding the translation process, and it was rated as a "Demonstration Case Technology Innovation" at the 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services.
Since 2017, we have cooperated with 18 colleges and universities to design courses and textbooks, carry out scientific research, study crossing research projects, offer work placements or internships for students and train eligible translators and interpreters, including School of Foreign Languages of Qingdao University of Science & Technology, School of Translation Studies of Qufu Normal University, College of Foreign Languages of Qufu Normal University, School of Foreign Languages of Shandong Normal University, School of Foreign Languages & Literature of Shandong University, School of Translation Studies of Shandong University, Weihai, School of Foreign Languages of Henan University of Technology, School of Foreign Languages of Dezhou University, School of Foreign Languages of Shandong First Medical University, School of Foreign Studies of Shandong University of Finance and Economics, School of Foreign Languages of Qilu University of Technology, College of Foreign Languages of Ocean University of China, School of Foreign Languages of University of Jinan, School of Foreign Languages of YanTai University, School of Foreign Languages of Shandong Jianzhu University, School of Foreign Languages of Liaocheng University, School of Foreign Languages and Literature of Tianjin University , and School of Foreign Languages and Literature of China University of Geosciences (Beijing). Besides, we have put into use KTrans intelligent translation platform labs in Rizhao, Qufu, and Liaocheng. On such a basis, we have provided cutting-edge translation technology and worked together with colleges and universities to carry out big data-supported translatable corpus researches. With the aid of our KTrans, more than 1,000 graduates major in foreign languages have finished their work placement or internship. Instructors from our company have given 1,200-plus lectures to students in our cooperative colleges and universities, and we have also organized 30-plus training sessions for both our staff and intern students.
In June 2021, the proposal of our company for the construction of new liberal arts, reform of teaching contents and curriculum system, teacher training, construction of practice conditions and practice base, and collaborative funds for innovation and entrepreneurship, including 30 programs, was all approved by the expert panel of the 2021 Industry-University Collaborative Education Program initiated by the Ministry of Education.
